Project Summary: To build a clean and safe facility with well trained staff poised to provide life saving services to mother and child. The end goal is to make this clinic completely self-sufficient within 5 years of being built.
Analysis: Africans in Sierra Leone have virtually no access to decent healthcare and often times must travel long distances to receive care at inadequately staffed and overall substandard clinics. AAPDEP’s Health Clinic and Nursing School will help to alleviate the suffering of Africans in Sierra Leone as a result of the imposed healthcare crisis by training Traditional Birth Attendants (TBA’s), nurses and community health workers to treat and educate others on how reduce the already high infant and maternal mortality rate.
End: This project ended in 2014. See a list of our ongoing projects that you can donate to.
